It's fall!
Time for new classes from Mermaid Song Quilts and The Salty Needle Quilt Shop on beautiful Cedar Key, Florida.

We are back in business after our hot summer and wet hurricane season. Many businesses are ready to serve you so
come on over!

First class of the season is our regularly scheduled appliqué
class at the Cedar Key RV Resort,
Monday, October 3 from 11am-2pm.
Bring lunch or a snack and work with help on your
favorite appliqué project.
Some of the quilters have nearly finished the Symphony in Sea Block of the month and have started on the mermaid!  Basic patterns are available for beginners.
Cost is $10/session.

Next up is a workshop on making those cute fascinators made
popular by the British royalty.  That's at the Cedar Key Art Center on October 13 from 10-1.
Cost is $15.00, plus a $5.00 supply fee.
It's fine to bring your own supplies; there's plenty of time to make several fetching little hair accessories.

October 21 and 28, 10am-1pm,
will be 2 classes on the beautiful wave quilt Beth designed for the Salty Needle Quilt Shop using the Quick Curve Ruler and the Metro Waves pattern.

The first week we will make the blocks and begin putting rows together.   You will need the ruler and pattern for that class.

Second week we'll make the appliqués.
Hand, fusible, and machine techniques will be shown, and we will learn how to make appliqué patterns from coloring book pictures.
$10 each session, you may take one or both.

Lastly, don't forget the Cedar Key Seafood Festival
October 15 and 16.
My band, Shade Tree, will be playing both mornings
from 9:30-10:45.  We'd love to see you there!
