April News from Mermaid Song Quilts! 

One Hundred Modern Blocks class finishes on April 26. The quilts are well on their way to completion and we are all so happy with how much we have learned.  This turned out to be a great class for understanding our own design preferences as well as becoming more proficient and accurate at cutting and seaming. 

Our next Thursday project at the Salty Needle Quilt Shop will be an exploration of the Mariner’s Compass quilt.  Small or large you can make many different types of compasses and set them many ways.  We will use paper piecing on freezer paper and will use templates for accuracy. 

Dates are May 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31. After that, we will see how long it takes to finish!

Time:  10:30-1:30.  

Cost: $5/session, plus pattern

Pattern price for a large quilt is $20 which includes paper piecing patterns and templates. Smaller quilts range from $5.00-$10.00.
